duncan Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 The new slipway will provide the best possible safe access to moorings that will have to be relocated sounds about right.................... Quote

Afishionado Posted July 7, 2007 Author Report Posted July 7, 2007 OK here's the straight word........ After fueling up in readyness for tomorrow I had a little plod round the harbour and on the way back had a look at this new slip. Well guys it's a crock of poop!! The approach road is double yellowed and as it comes into the slip a dog leg has been made and posts embeded to stop anything but a small dinghy launching trailer access. The slip it's self is maybe 8ft wide. The intention is obvious, and that is to make the slip useless to most trailer craft so that Baiter remains the only option open to users of larger watercraft. great white Posted July 8, 2007 Report Posted July 8, 2007 Reading the start of this thread it sounds as if this slip is intended for the small tenders to the boats on the trot moorings and not for trailered boats. I believe that this one has been discussed before at meetings, but it is a shame that they could not take the opertunity to put in a useful slip instead of a tender launch ramp Charlie Quote
