we launched from lymington at 5 pm with the plan of some bass fishing and then give the sole a try.

well by 9-00 pm we had added bass and mackerel to our list of catches, it was amazing to see lots of large shoals of mackerel in one area.

9-30 ish the anchor goes down and the kettle goes on, the first sole breaks surface about 10-30 big result for us this early in the season.the rest of the night proved to be good and busy.

5-00 coffee and up anchor and of to try for a comp bass, just the one but caught too early.

8-00 ish now eyes feel like they are hanging out so its time to head for home.

bass,

mackerel,

scad,

bream,

Hi Andy / James,

Can I really start to think it's time for a sole session ?

Just love those warm, calm nights with bonus of a bucketful of fine eating that lasts for ages!

Alun.

PS If so, pencil me in for the next sultry evening !!
