Hi Daz,

welcome to the forum. Sorry nobody got back to you earlier (i suspect there all out fishing biggrin.gif ). What kind of boat have you got? Trailered or moored? My knowledge of Poole is very limited, but if you do infact tow your boat then fishing out of Christchurch is very good and a lot of the lads fish out of there. I may be able to put you on a fish or two as there are plenty of areas/ marks that will offer conger amongst a lot of other species within about 4 miles (of christchurch harbour). PM me if you need any assistance.

Post on the catch report section and let us know how you got on rolleyes.gif

Good Luck

Dan

hi m8 and thx for the reply biggrin.gif

its not my boat its my m8s boat he has a 16ft raider with a 70tohatsu on the back

he keeps it at the rnli in poole and we launch it from there it is on a trailer and can be towed, after reading this forum i did suggest maybe launching from christchurh/mudeford and he is thinking about it maybe just as quick easier steaming on round the coast in the boat??

we went round to kimmeridge and st albans i think,i know we went far:)

P.S WEAR suncream lobster boy alert:)

it was fun going round pevral ledge and places round there it went really choppy later on in the day but yet again fun biggrin.gif

we caught all sorts i seem to be the rass king i think they can sense me a hundred miles away smile.gif

also caught a nice couple of pollock and a nice sized black bream,no luck with the conga but i think thats down to us not knowing what were doing lol biggrin.gif

ill take you up on yer offer of a place to go to catch conga if you wouldnt mind thanks smile.gif

Hi Daz,

Pretty sure we saw you out and if it was you, yes you were round St Albans Head. We didn't do that well round there on Sunday but if you know were to look there are some good Conger marks round that way.

If the tide allows there are a couple of big holes just by St Albans which are clearly marked on any chart and will fish well, but as as I say you can only fish them when the tide has died as it does steam through there.

hi dan

yep we flung a line down a couple of holes but like u said we done it at the wrong time the tide just dragged our lines more over each other than down the hole huh.gifbiggrin.gif

my m8 was told of a couple of marks round about there which we fished, thats where we got our 2 pollock and black bream from but alas no biggies or no conga biggrin.gif

the conga hunt continues................ ph34r.gif
