Hi guys, any help would be gratefully received here as i have no idea whats wrong with it! sad.gif

The VHF on our boat is not working, we have full power to it, we can hear people on it, when i key up on it-the light comes on on the screen, but no-one can hear me. Paul D has had a look at it (cheers Paul) and we were hoping it was OK but unfortunately it is still not working, any ideas on what might be wrong with it?

Dom,

I would suggest that the RF Power transistor might be fried. Probably was used when you had half an aerial !

You need to find some radio ham person on here with some radio test equipment otherwise will probably be cheaper to buy another one

i've got a problem with mine recently.

It's fine for about 15 mins but then the display goes out and all i get is squelch noise.

Turn it off and on again and the cycle repeats.

Ive checked the connections and all looks fine

Any ideas?

Let me know,

Regards Dave
