Presenting A Live Mackerel

I know this has all been said before but I'm hopeless with the search facility. What size treble do I want for presenting a lively under a float?

I use a size 1 or 1/0.

Thanks, that'll do me. Some nasty crude trebles out there but the VMC ones look good (at a price!).
