Blank Off Christchurch

Fished for an hour or so off Hengistbury Head this afternoon before the football but blanked.

 

Was pretty damn windy though with waves going over the top of the groyne. Saw the drizzle coming, so headed for home then.

 

Calling the comp off was certainly the correct decision.

In case anyone thinks I was a bit mad to be out, I was standing on the groyne ( well the start of it ) and the boat was on my drive at home. ( Even I am not that stupid ! )

haven't seen any reference to next weekend anywhere yet? Was rather expecting the 7th or 21st for tides - let alone giving this current batch of stuff a chance to clear!!!

it's more the getting in and out problems with tides and times at this time of year - the alternate weeks with low around midday are so much more accomadating to Poole and Christchurch alike.

Sorry I did not mean to add confusion I just thought it was agreed to run cancelled comps at the next opportunity.

 

I am sure Paul and Adam are discussing this and considering the various implications ref the tides etc. and I may have missed a post that states when the comp will be fished
