Sinbad
Went for another familly jolly round the harbour this afternoon - parked up at pottery pier, sea like a millpond - fantastic. In 1m of water, first cast, nice fat Mackerel on feathers. Unbelieveable - but then we did see shoals of fry in the water everywhere.... JIMBOB
you do get a few in the harbour, if you think 1m of water on feathers is unbelievable, I had one near Poole bridge a couple of weeks ago on a live smelt after bass!!, at about midnight!!! also while prawning at fisherman's dock in January a lad turned up with a spinner and first cast pulled out a mackerel, I went over a to have a look in shock and he said he gets them fairly often.
