George and I fished on AWOL with Dean Burt and Paul Dore. Am sure they'll provide a full catch report in due course.

George had his personal best Blonde Ray of 10lb 8oz (lowest steady weight), as his only fish of the day. 5 points, but what a fish, and returned to grow bigger.

I had two blonde ray to my personal best of 14lb 8oz (lowest steady weight), both returned, plus 2 mackerel, 2 dogfish and 2 black bream. Total score believed to be 42 points, using the official scoring spreadsheet.

Cracking boat, great skipper (cheers Dean!!!), who put us straight on the fish. Good sea keeping, stunning performance, and a nice stable fishing platform. George wants one, and I can see why!!!

Got to dash - need to be in Milton Keynes (of all places) by 10 p.m.

Mike

PS Paul - will send in the form later in the week if that's ok.

Fugazi had a good day and fish to record were 4 dogfish (10) 4 Bream (15) & 4 pout (5) total score 30 points. Really good to find some nice bream still about, kept a couple of 2lb plus ones eating and just had one baked in sea salt for dinner.

Reflections 2 report

Due to my abysmal precision anchoring and or drifting techniques over the EVERLEIGH have to report most of the day was blank with not even a bite.

However good company aboard in the form of Charlie Aneer and as we slowly progressed inshore I eventually managed to bag 4 bream and 1 mackeral.

Welcome on board anytime Charlie and I promise to improve my wreck positioning in future.

Good Day Out all said and done biggrin.gif

Don't be too hard on yourself Pete, the Everleigh hasn't broken up much so most of the bigger fish are inside the wreck, I've dived it several times and not seen many free swimmers above it other than pout. It's a good wreck for diving, but if your going to go that far out I'll PM you a better one for fishing. It lies with the tide, is really big and has plenty of accessible fish on it, (in the summer anyway). Of course that doesn
