Paul J Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 It might be my PC at work but i can't seem to get any info on this other than the emaiil comments- whats it all about? PJ Quote
duncan Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 apply (register) for the stickers a combination of 'I support catch and release' and 'the only fish I take are for my immediate consumption' - all leading to I don't need legislation because I already do it that way..........sort of thing. you might want to contact Chris Cains for an urgent supply of the stickers for issue to everyone that enters the Open; except for the slight irony involved.......... the club should certainly post the GIF on it's site given the allignment of interests and objectives - subject to committee agreement of course. Swainiac Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Hadn't read this thread before posting on one up there. Its got to be a good show of support, and I echo Slam Dunc's suggestion of the availablity of Stickers for the club Open Pack up. Rich Quote
Paul J Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Rich, Dunc, I have asked and they are considering it. They did state that the main thrust of the campaign was to get individuals to show their commitment by signing up and sending in their envelopes. PJ Quote
great white Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Signed up and will pop envelopes in the post It only took a minute so don't be shy Charlie Quote
duncan Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 easy one Paul - add the wording to the comp entry form with the option for individuals to decline it. Forward the details to CC after the event. everyone a winner......... Quote
Mike Y Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Sorry to be a lawyer but it would have to be set up as an "opt in" rather than "opt out" if you do decide to do this. I'd be happy to look at the wording from a data protection standpoint. I think it is a very worthy campaign and good to see someone like Chris Caines for whom I have the greatest respect behind it. great white Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Another solution may be to ask Chris for a flyer about this. Print them off and issue them with all the other paperwork Then maybe add a few words of encouragement from the Club for all anglers competing to take up the scheme themselves Charlie Quote
