Paul D Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 Deepsea Forum The SSFC decided to debate the 12m byelaw before the proper meeting took place (despite being on the agenda) When the item came up, Mr Carrier said that the issue would be discussed at the joint SSFC meeting which is to take place at the Council Offices at Lyndhurst on 17th January 2008. I guess they felt that boatmen who could afford boats over 12m can afford not to go to work! 13 boatmen attended the meeting and it seemed to give the committee great satisfaction that we all turned up for nothing! Only one member of the Committee would speak to us... we were blanked by the rest...not even any eye contact. I'm sorry to say this but I think they don't want to listen to us. One bit of good news...CFO Mr Carrier has agreed to meet a couple of us from the W&PLSA and the PBA tommorrow (Friday) Will post more after that. Quote
Swainiac Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Perhaps a good day to bring the village to a standstill with boats on trailers?? Show them that the charter boys have a good amount of support? Quote
