Gnasher Posted May 7, 2008 Report Posted May 7, 2008 (edited) After getting my bloody mother pestering me to take her out, i finally agreed this morning, so i took her to of keyhaven and fished the calm water inside hurst spit, well away from the rough stuff. A short session it was, only dropping down the hook at 7.30pm, and like last time, i opted for light gear, and only the single rod, this time fished in 36ft instead of 50 plus feet where the fish were the other day. Anyway, to cut the story short, we were straight into fish, and the tips didn't stop rattling. Rag was suprisingly poor, but small squid chunks got bites straight away. With Hounds the target, they came out to play straight away, but there was also rays, pout and dogs thrown in. No big fish, but hectic action. Dan Edited May 7, 2008 by Gnasher Quote
Rob Posted May 7, 2008 Report Posted May 7, 2008 Nice one Dan. I would really like to catch my first Hound and \ or Tope. Can anyone PM me some numbers where I might find these in Christchurch \ Poole Bay? Thanks. Rob Quote
Gnasher Posted May 7, 2008 Author Report Posted May 7, 2008 plenty of hounds on xray mate(i think you have them numbers), and lots of pack tope will be there soon. Take the boat to the solent if you want proper action. Quote
