Sunday is the rescheduled annual bream comp.

Tides for Poole Entrance here:

Adam is away at the moment, so posting this for him.

This is also the 2nd comp for the BFM league - so we need at least 15.

Well I may now have the chance to sneak out on Sunday morning biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

But I am drawn to go out to a wreck on such a nice tide and forecast

Our best bream on Sunday was from a wreck so I could still enter the comp. and not pinch anyone from the required 15.

Problem is Nether of the boys is available so I would need crew, anyone fancy it?

PM or Text me if you do.

I'll be fishing on Court Jester with Neal and John, following my recent successes on smallish bream, at least I can advise where they weren't!

Thanks Neal!

Lovely day out today, flat seas, warm sun, good company and a few fish - who could ask for more?

Took Dave Penny out to catch his first ever fish and after a few breif instructions he preceeded to out fish me!

No birdsnests, no tangles, just started to catch fish from the off, i even made him net his own sizeable bream just to throw him off balance, but no, he just scoped it up like a pro.

We had a steady day on the bream with a few other species thrown in, pout, mackeral, dogs and a stonking Garfish - all to Dave of course. In retrospect i should have wieghed the Gar but at the time i didn't want to damage the fish.

Dave's best bream went 2-9 and mine went 2-7.

I did have one frantic moment when netting a fish for Dave, my rod went off and went airbourne off the deck and over the rail, i just managed to snatch the but in mid flight. Theres me with a bream banging away on a rod in one hand and another in the net in the other hand. I am so relieved that my favorite outfit of the past 20 years is still with me!
