ELECTRICIAN NEEDED FOR STARGAZER

Can anyone recomend a good marine electrician who could come and quote to rewire stargazer after my theft. I need someone to go through the electrics as when the gear was stolen they just ripped out the wiring under the console and my nav lights and dials are no longer working. I will also be asking them to wire in a new sonar and dsc radio. I need someone who can provide reciepts as I hope to be able to claim some of this back via insurance.

My insurance have said they will not cover any of the stolen property which could be removed ( plotter, sonar, life jackets, rods, reels etc etc ) but they will help with replacing the dsc radio and repairing the wiring loom, less my policy excess of course !

The police came out on the night of the theft and have fingerprinted the boat but found nothing, they did say several boat equipment thefts have been reported in the poole area recently so keep an eye out chaps.

Thanks for all kind words of support.

Contact Matt at Marine Electrical Services. 01202 666066

Brilliant and very above board.

PS: OUt of interest, who are you insured with?

Most decent marine insurance companies will insure an amount for personal effects, an amount for electronics and so on.

If it is electronics I would back up Tom and recomend MES you may get a good discount on the replacement equipment as well if you get it all done together, he may charge fully on the re-wire and discount the removable items wink.gif

as for the re-wire try Kevin Dixon on 07816 629915

Thanks Tom / Charlie, Matt is comming to have a look on monday. My insurance is done by GJW Direct. I have submitted a claim form for the lot and crossing fingers they will help with some of the cost. From the documentation I have I am fairly sure the radio and damage to the loom is covered at least...
