Battery Charging Options ?

Hi Lads,

I am after any advice on your experiences with Split Charge Diodes for charging a twin battery instalation. I am currently installing a new pair of 85 ah batteries which are controlled via a heavy duty battery changeover switch, but I am considering installing a split charging diode to ensure even charging of the batteries but have not any experience of the suitability of these so would appreciate any help or opinions.

I would think Bob or Adam would be best to answer this as they have been fitting out their new boat and Bob is bit of an expert on electrics.

 

I too would be interested in the reply as I think I have a split charge system but I think I have a problem with mine but not had time to check it out properly yet.
