Thanks Les - thoroughly enjoyed the trip to the "car-park" today. As you know it was a series of firsts for me - the location, targetting whiting, fishing on a flat calm and the almighty tangle my 2 lines got into when 3 fish wanted to come aboard all at the same time. I can also say that I've caught my first cod, though with it being put back to fight another day, I'll never know whether it was a tasty one! But the handful of whiting I came back with are looking promising.

And to cap it all I do believe I've caught the sun - in December!!

Dave

We were just a few 100 m away and also enjoyed the good weather and ever changing tide [ 6 oz. to 20 oz, weights in about an hour... and back again in a couple more!]

Not so much a car park today.....about a dozen boats..... and , I think, faring about the same!

Just one cod for us, too,....Terry's luck today!,... but I got the conger and the ray. Apart from that , it was whiting all the way... in fits and starts!....... all sizes with a few in the 3lb class.

Thanks, Terry for the trip on Stingray.....the fresh air was just the tonic for my cold [ I hope the sneezing and sniffling didn't put you off too much?!!]...feeling tired but better now.

Alun.
