24% answered "six cells connected in parallel"

 

The correct answer is "six cells connected in series"

 

Each individual cell produces 2.1 volts. By placing them in series the voltages are added together to produce 12.6 volts.

 

If the cells were connected in parallel the voltage across all the cells would remain at 2.1 volts no matter how many cells you added in parallel.
