Hi Gordon

3 boats will be fine, I will pair you up with skippers of similar boats as we all know our home waters pretty well I will give you all some co ordinates of where to try. Gore Sands, North West Patches, Club Bank as well as Hinckley and Stoke Spit are all good bets. Don

Well - all did not go to plan. Unfortunatley the comp with Burnham was called off the night before due to predicted sea conditions sad.gif

So what to do - pack and fueled up wit nowhere to go!

With Play Hooky already in Burnham the discussion was frantic and eventually it was agreed that PH would go out of Lymington with AJ as crew - I assume they did.

And that Enticer and JoJo would head for Kimmeridge for a mini trailaway.

Well we were motoring out of Kimmeridge at 7:30 and heading in search of live bait for later.

Once we had a few we headed to St Alban's head - I couldn't help but keep stopping and circling over and abundance of interesting features and chucking down feathers!!!

Charlie and I headed to search out a Ray tip from Neal S - not luck so if you could send me the numbers Neal I would be grateful!!!!

Enticer headed to a deep hole for rays \ tope.

After some mean radio chat from Enticer (the sound of bacon cooking) we headed to a bank for Rays.

We gave it a shot but the tide built too much, so JoJo headed in to look for some bass after some direction from Enticer (Gordon) who were heading for a wreck.

JoJo handled the sea past St Albans with a strong tide and wind against it was a little hairy, with overfalls and breaking waves. However JoJo perfprmed brilliantly and only Charlie got a soaking!! laugh.gif

Anyhow, long story short, JoJo return the Bacon radio call with one annoucing that the crew were having bass for dinner!!!!

We met up with Enticer for the return to the Slip.

Gordon, I really appreciated the help and guidance and enjoyed being your buddy boat for the day - was good to know there was someone there close by.

Even though it wasn't the great adventure to Burnham, it was a nice change from the usual sites and could have been anywhere in that weather. I even got a text from a French mobile provider advising me how to access my voicemail!!!!

Cheers

Rob

Dismayed is the only way to describe my reaction when Gordon phoned me late on Saturday night, i couldn't believe they were going to cancel it on the forecasts given it was like a millpond out in the channel all weekend, and as it happened on the sunday as well. I personally think that there may have been a different agenda at play here as it was perfectly fishable in my opinion, but what can i say, still dismayed!!!!! unsure.gif

We are going to change the name of the caravan to "What-Wind"!!
