First time for a long time

Hello one & all

I havn't been out for ages but I am hoping to come down sometime this week, launch from Wick and spend a couple of hours chasing the fish.

 

What should I expect to catch and where? Will I need to order ragworms from the tackle shop? I think I have some frozen mackerel will that be any use this time of year?

 

Any help will be most welcome

Still bass around, using live mackerel or pollack.

Big ballan wrasse to worms and probably the odd sole on sandy bottom.

Also rays.

Odd cod turning up, too.

 

Alun J is going out from Wick this week, so you may be able to buddy up with him.

You'll be OK with frozen mackerel - if you get any live ones on feathers - you'll be having a red letter day !!!
