Thanks for yesterday's trip to your office Alun - thoroughly enjoyed it. And like all offices it had its pests, especially pouting and LSDs, though they were easier to deal with than the human variety and didn't get too badly in the way of the cod & whiting! Dave

Thanks Les - thoroughly enjoyed the trip to the "car-park" today. As you know it was a series of firsts for me - the location, targetting whiting, fishing on a flat calm and the almighty tangle my 2 lines got into when 3 fish wanted to come aboard all at the same time. I can also say that I've caught my first cod, though with it being put back to fight another day, I'll never know whether it was a tasty one! But the handful of whiting I came back with are looking promising. And to cap it all I do believe I've caught the sun - in December!! Dave

Thanks for the morning Dan which I thoroughly enjoyed despite the lack of anything big. At least the morning sky in the east was a stunner while it lasted! Dave

Went out on Dat Dam Boat with Dan today. On the way out at 7.00am the last remaining reds & greens were there, but coming back at 11.00am they had gone! Eyes were therefore glued to the depth gauge for the run in.

Thanks Paul for a great day out, including deliberately setting your own tackle up wrong so that I caught more fish - it was great encouragement on my first trip! Beginner's luck I think, or lucky crew? It's a pity we didn't have the camcorders running for PJ's aerobatics - the England cricket team would have him fielding at 1st slip with agility like that - and he saved both fish as well as his rod!
