Hi all just an update,i replaced my olf vhf setup inc aerial with the newer DSC type,done my VHF course and my powerboat level 2,i tried it all out today launched from cobbs only had one mackerel,but ive got the boat and radio sorted so now i can concentrate more on the fishing,nice to see you out there brian,you had already cought lots more than me by lunch time,did you get any for the pot. mark

hi brian im at home in sunbury near heathrow at the mo but ive got a week off in poole starting on 23rd july with my boat maybe we can hook up then ? is there a weather channel that transmits all the time and is it rx and tx or hi /lo buttons would they affect reception ?

Hi all, just wondering on how much conversation / traffic to expect on my boats radio ive been out prob 4 times now and prob only heard 3 chats in total including scrolling through the channels for any chat and nothing,i heard one radio check on 16 to the coast guard loud and clear,channel 6 for club members and nothing ever,squelch to minimum,not too sure on any other settings,i was thinking maybe an antenna issue. any ideas mark

Thanks guys, had a good day out on the boat today, only landed 3 mackerel , sad I know. It was quite rough out on the Poole patch lost lots of tackle and nearly an anchor but the trip system saved it! The area seems so vast to me ! Where oh where to drop aline?

Hi guys, im going out from baiters this saturday in my warrior and as im new to boats and sea fishing can anyone give me a tip off on some productive marks to try with co-ordinates and spiecies i might be lucky enough to catch from them and baits to use. many thanks mark

it doesnt have a rev counter but i did up the idle to overcome the problem but the crunch on gear change wasnt nice, sounded painfull !

so did you catch anything ???

Hi there,ive got my outboard in the marina workshop at the mo coz of this problem. the engine starts after a few goes of firing and dying but with the idle up a tad it will eventualy run sweet,then drop it back to idle its ok, pop it into gear it cuts out instantly restarts in neutral agian no probs put in gear again forward or reverse it cuts out this is when its in the water,i havnt tried putting it in gear out of water? ive had the carbs cleaned,and seems no differant any ideas guys or know someone i can speak to regards mark

any ideas what to do if you dont need a trailer to launch,ie.little trolley for ski that goes in the van ?

looking at my annual parking paperwork it also states on weekdays permit holders only aloud to park from 10am onwards so if you want to catch the early tides/fish say 6.30am you have to pay the 9 pounds in the machine is this correct?

Hi have any of you had this i was out with the mrs and the dog for a walk along the coast line for a couple of hours. on returning to my van only to find a parking ticket!i have an annual parking/slipway permit,100 odd quid! on the windscreen so i rang the council and they said i got the ticket because there was not a trailer attatched to the van,and the fine stays! i was amazed,

cheers gary does your 165 run 2 batterys,i think mine is a 1997 mk1 model and its got one battery for the radio gear and one for the engine running through a switch/isolator,also mine is the only one ive seen on a four wheel trailer,makes it hard to move when its not on the van,wonder if i could take one of the axles out,its on 10" wheels.

im looking into fitting front pulpit rails or (bow rails)to my warrior ,do any of you have them are they usefull and not just for the mrs to hold onto while dangling feet in the bow wave,any ideas where i could get some 2nd hand would be good or is it just warriors direct about 250 quid !
