  1. I know how that feels. Safe trip out and I hope all your hard work brings you tight lines.
  2. I weighed in a 6lb 5oz but was out on random harvest charter boat in the comp. Malcolm N
  3. Thanks I will enquire not concerned about competitive prices I just want a good clean smart looking safe job that I can rely on. Malcolm
  4. Firstly sorry but I put this in Engine section first buy mistake. Can anyone recommend a person or company that will guarantee there work and give a Vat receipt to re wire the electronics on a boat. Ie new isolator switches Control panels New gauges ect ect Thanks in advance Malcolm N
  5. Google DD PACIFFICS and it comes up Folley trading http://www.follytrading.com/ribs.html he is mainly ex military ribs and they had the sternpowr legs Just looked and he still has them. Malcolm
  6. Hi I know this boat and almost bought it off George myself purely for the out drive. Your out drive is a sternpowr. This is spelt correctly with no E in power. I thought it was the same as mine that I struggle to get parts for the rare mainly military 1000 series. But it was the 100 series and there are many parts around still. Mike at Lancing Marine will sort you out but be warned my prop on the 24ft Wilson cost me £875+vat There is also a guy in Yeovil who has a vast stock, Google DD paciffics. I hope that is of help to you. Malcolm
  7. I had a cod of 8lb 10oz and that was it for me but the second day was cancelled.
  8. Hi one and all. Just wondering if the club are submitting the usual team from the club into the championship this year on the 18th-19th of November. I fished it independent 2 years ago and wouldn't mind having another go as a team for the club. So my enquiry is that if the club are entering the same team as before and if anyone of the team can't do it this year can I put my name in the hat as a reserve please. Malcolm Nightingale
  9. I will be fishing it even if I don't catch any cod as not very lucky season for me. But hey going to up my game and study some maps and see if there is any other places to fish than the car park. Got my self a second had freezer ready to stock up with squid, cuttle and black lug. So definitely going to fish it even if it's just an excuse to go fishing.
  10. Wet weather gear a must
  11. Still having problems with dads boat so sorry for not entering the club comp. But I will be on charter boat Random Harvest with most of the wessex Angling centre and Bournemouth fishing lodge boys in the poole sea angling comp so if I see any of you guys I will try and get some pics of your boats. Good luck and stay safe.
  12. I have ordered the lansky sharpening system to try out on the knifes I have all ready to see how they perform. But not any knifes ordered yet but I am going to try the ikea ones for sure first.
  13. Thanks I will look into all that suggested and a quality sharpening tool I think. Malcolm N
  14. I posted on a thread on Facebook under the sea angling uk and someone else said about a knife from ikea. The popular ones have been Victoric and dexter knifes as they say they stay sharp but after reading reviews on bass pro shop it seems there are pros and cons so I was wondering what our club thought and use regular. Think I might get two from ikea chris as they have been mentioned and keep one in the tackle box and one in the kitchen and see how they go over the next 6 months and then look again if needed. Thanks Malcolm N
  15. Its needed to be for filleting at home only rob.
