The lighting boards are made using the same material as the red and white road work barriers. The time it will take to swap all the lights over will cost more than a new one(tried it for a customer).

Indespension never made the sand skipper. But i know the man that did. In my opinion, once used you will always use it.

The two middle engines are x x long shaft, the next two are x long shaft, the next two are x x long shaft and the out two were x long shaft. At full throttle it uses about 160 gallons per hour. And will carry nearly 20 tonnes just in the fuel tanks.......

Glasplies did have a reputation about the quality of their resins. They will now only supply reblended resins in you ask for that. They will supply 888x which is a 1st quality general purpose resin. We only actually buy buckets, rollers, rep foam and hand cleaner from there. But i have never had a problem with them. For the amount of money that you will save, its really not worth using reblended resins on anything more than flat roofs. Steve

Rather than try and fit the 30+mm nut through the steering grommet. Depending on the boat, it might be easier to disconnect the cable from the helm and feed it through the grommet from the engine end. I put the steering cable through its own one and feed the rest through a second. Steve

Hi I designed and built the Explorer 500 in 1997 which became the 2000 and lastly the Elite. I can only vouch for the quality of the boats that i built, and have not heard of any bad ones. Brian and myself were partners in approx 2000 until i went back on my own and developed the Endeavour 500. Steve

Does the transom ply not go all the way up to the top of the transom on the Warrior?

ask for gelcoat with wax added.

Is the motorhome GRP or Aluminium? If its Ally, then i would leave it. If its GRP, use a stanley type scraper and take your time. have a bucket of Acetone with a cloth, and keep the Sikaflex moist... Hope this helps Steve

Warrior are on the honda stand with the 175 and the pro angler. not many small boat builders there.

have you not thought of LATEX. each dip will apply a slightly thicker layer. just keep dipping till you achieve the thicknes that you require.
-
does it connect to ball joint? if so, has it worn down???
-
the suzuki is approx 70 kgs heavier than the honda. that needs to be taken into account.

if you try and pigment white gel, you will end up with it PINK. the dremel is a perfect tool to clean up the area aroud the chips/scrapes. when you fill the scrapes, try not to spread the gel to too much of a larger area around the damaged area. it will only make your job harder. and when you rub it down, start with 800 wet n dry and work up to 1500 or 2000 if you can get it. this alone will give you a shine on the gel and it will polish very easy by hand with Farecla profile 400 or G3. good luck steve

i use 14g x 1 1/4" screws and i would recommend going through with a pilot hole. and then squirt some sikaflex on the threads and in the holes as you screw in.

i have looked at you pictures a bit more... any part of a boat which is attached to the hull is strength. aren't the bunks on the alaska filled with foam? if not, this is a bit easier. you will need to access the bunks from the inside to make it look half decent (put a locker door in the top). you may be able to just chop say 12" out of the middle and then rejoin it so retain the original moulding. does the ply deck run under the bunks? if they do, then it shouln't be too much of a problem. i can supply new seat boxes at
-
no, no, no. don't do that. cut the seat box out and buy a new one (a lower one) and glass it in. or screw it in. and as for the bunks. don't bother. you could always just buy a new boat.... he he he

sorry, i should have said. it will scorch the gelcoat if you stay in an area for too long, so a spray bottle with water in it is handy. and as mike says "keep moving". what make and model boat is it that wants polishing? steve http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.js...=70840&id=76762

the trick with the farecla is to use a 7" polishing machine (big grinder with foam head). i thing 3m do a acrylic/polycarb polish..... steve
-
for polishing the gelcoat. farecla have a product specifically for gelcoats called profile 200, 400 and 600. 200 being a course paste and 600 being a thin liquid. i tend to use 400 and then 600 to finish.
