Hi The VW 10 takes chain only on the gypsy Plus rope and chain on the Capstan where as the Rc 8 with Capstan will take rope and chain on both i think that is correct graham

I have been looking at windlass with a capstan on top with this i can run all chain for inshore and use the capstan for bringing in the rope and chain if it can be fitted to the new boat waiting to hear i am confused dot com

This is factory fitted so I take that they have made the boat to the standard required to use it , it is not a add on Graham

thanks i have always used the Alderney ring so it may be a case of using the windlass for shallow and Alderney ring for deep graham

Hi When i get my boat it will have a windlass fitted is it best to use 3 strand 10mm rope or multiplat i have never had one so don't know oh and 8mm chain graham

started to clean out the boat today 9 years of HO MY GOD i think i will have to have a tackle sale one more clean out should do it i hope , i took the wife down got her a roast in cobbs and it worked and she said that she would help again it will cost me another meal but it is still quite cheap graham

Hi I have One fitted on my boat so the bigger ships can see me so I never switch it off so I would rather lose a fishing mark than the boat Anyway I only look for big ships not fishing marks especially in the dark and fog but that's just me

Looks like my boat maybe sold so no boat until nov -dec i will need treatment

well had a look around the boat show yesterday and came away with a new boat a Parker 770 weekender so 6 weeks or so i will be in more trouble with the other half,but still looking forward to it coming
