Think I saw you just up from the chain ferry slip…I did wonder what that jet ski was with the Christmas lights going 😂 I got a speeding board reminder from the pilot boat going up through the harbour…was doing 10.8knt.

Got out today as planned…sea state was horrid so stuck inshore between the piers for a few hours after some squid. Took 8 and 3 cuttlefish…dropped 5 or 6. Hope the worms I bought last till Tuesday in the fridge. Only a couple of charters in the area but it looked like they went back into the harbour. Bumpy trip back to harbour but the 175 took it in her stride 😁

Headed out yesterday with my mate Gaz in search for whatever was out there. Was advised by the tackle shop not to waste my time looking for mackerel…I didn’t cos there seams to be very few about! Headed out to the banks and set the anchor on a small area. Fish from the off…thornback, bream, conger and my mate Gaz had a lovely trigger fish. Was going to stay out all night but the chop got up in the afternoon and didn’t want to anchor off studland for the night in an on shore wind…looks lovely today though ! Hindsight and all that 😁

Had a good go for them yesterday, Jerry…thought there might have been some early ones about but no luck.

Hi All, Are there any rules for the species hunt as I can't seem to find any. Just wanted to know if a photo is required to i.d. each species caught and is there some of card that can be printed off to place in the photo as proof of the year it was caught. Any response greatly appreciated. Mark

Yeah it's picking up as the day progresses. Have a launch booked for 9 so even if we get a few hours it'll be worth the trip...busting to get out!

Hi Jim, I tend to get back in time for the tractor to get me out a, I'm on a trailer...unless I stay out on an all nighter...which isn't too comfortable on a 175! Not had any issues with getting her out yet. Would be a pain if I did miss them though...so something to think about.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. Been down to the boat today to her ready for a Sunday trip out...first one in 4 months. Hope to see you out there at some point. Remember you well Gary, loved your 175...even contemplated getting rid of mine and buying yours 🙂 Does get busy in the summer down there but I get mine out every time as insurance doesn't cover the boat left on the water without me on it.

Hi everyone, just joined and paid up for the 2021 year. My name is Mark and have a Warrior 175 (Skipper) that I launch from Rockley. Been there for the last 2 years since owning the boat...my first one! Really looking forward to meeting up with like minded boaty people and particularly looking forward to a few more trips out than last year!
