this was from a fishing trip in the westman islands we do holidays there as well this little 1s weight was 132lbs

hi tom well on our boats we have adopted a minimum size of 5 pounds anything smaller goes back yes we do do light fishing here as well i was doing it not that many weeks ago and i had a fish snap my rod but i now have the boat equipped with conoflex triology 30lb calss boat rods have a great action i use 30 lb line as the rind-gs on the rods can not stand the braid for to long 400grams of lead is used as a norm as it is deep water and in some places strong currents but i have just recived 2 conoflex uptiders that will let me land a big fish on these fantastic light rods will be trying them out in the coming weeks as for comparing to norway we have the same fishing here i do think however that our halibut are a bit bigger cod are about the same as norways with the chance of a 50lb + possible tight line s skippy

IF U GET SOMETHING THAT BIG I WOULD INSIST ON IT GOING BACK AND IF CAUGHT IN THE ACT I WOULD PAY THE FINE OUT OF MY OWN POCKET I THINK ICELANDIC RULES ARE A BIT SILLY WE ARE GOING TO HAVE MINIMUM SIZE ON OUR BOATS WELL THERE IS NOT A LOT OF DIFFRENCE IN THE FISHING BETWEEN HERE AND NORWAY WE DO GET BIGGER HALIBUT HERE AND THE COD RANGE FROM ABOUT 8 POUNDS UP TO THE MID 30S WITH SOME BIG UNS CHUCKED IN FOR GOOD MEASURE 40LBS + I ALSO THINK WERE ARE A LITTLE CHEAPER HERE TIGHT LINES SKIPPY

right guys sorry about the tub of cod but that is half an hours fishing over here and icelandic law does not allow you to return fish to the sea do not no way i think it is a bit stupid my self but if u get caught returning fish there is a big fine right now i have some prices on the web page now so check them out i will be going out next week for a pre season reccy will tell you all about it thanks tight line s skippy
