Tom, It definitely would have been the Dashwood pub , it's now the Dashwood hotel after being privately bought and the owner spending 2 years and a massive amount of dosh on it , you wouldn't recognise it know but sadly not really a village pub any more , but great place to stay and excellent food . Pam still does own Kirtlington golf club and it's a great club and course , very relaxed and a newish club house after they managed to get a lottery grant . I will send her your regards. Hi Rob , It was good to meet you last night and have a fishing chat over a couple of pints . I couldn't believe it when i read your thread saying that you were stranded in a hotel in kirtlington ,which happens to be right next door to my home. I would also like to say a big hello to all the other club members and thank them , as i feel as though i know most of them personally and have gained a huge amount of fishing knowledge by becoming a member and reading the forum on a daily basis. My brother and myself were brought up beach fishing on the East coast and progressed to boat fishing about 12 years ago , we now fish the Christchurch and Lymington area as my brother has just moved to Burton near Christchurch . As you suggested Rob , i would like to buy a club pennant , so maybe someone could let me know where i can buy one. Living in Oxfordshire can be a bit frustrating being a keen sea angler , but the club forum keeps me in touch with whats going on and more importantly what's being caught ! Hopefully i will meet some more members soon , but in the mean time keep fishing and tight lines to everyone. Regards , Chris.
