  1. Terry Thanks for your feed back and I have managed to interest three work colleagues and requested a reservation for a couple of dates to try and synchronise flights. At a cost of £250 person for a week's accommodation, including boat, it compares favourably with fishing in Poole Bay! I hope it will be a bargain. I have fished in the Keys previously and found most professional skippers are tight lipped (as you would expect), but plenty of marks and advice from sports fishermen.
  2. Considering booking a fishing holiday in Florida and a quick search brought up this option (several times) of a villa with boat included. http://www.directvillasflorida.com/florida-villas/769-florida-villas-villa-sea-shells-with-23ft-boat.html Considering the cost of even a shared daily charter boat it seems a bit of a bargain and I was wondering if anyone had experience of this particular option? Any other recommended Florida fishing holiday/destination options? Many thanks.
  3. I believe you can fish for Bass anywhere in the designated Bass Nursey Area (Poole) between the dates mentioned as long as Sandeel is not used as bait? SIFCA confirm Bass Nursery Area Under The Bass (Specified Areas) (Prohibition of Fishing) (Variation) Order 1999. Fishing for bass, or fishing for any fish using sand-eels as bait, by any fishing boat within any part of the harbour, as defined, is prohibited between 30 April and 1 November. I am unaware of any update.
  4. Perhaps it is a case of 'not knocking it' until you try it, and I don't mean to be disrespectful, but even as an ardent angler I simply can't find anything appealing about winching large commom skate from great depths. Is it just me?

Recently spent some time on Round Island and was surprised at the number of boats dredging with no registration whatsoever.
  6. As a mortgage broker I can confirm there would be ramifications with a single skin extension. The majority of lenders would decline outright, whilst others would impose a retention until any remedial work was completed and re-inspected at your cost.
  7. Very shallow between EDSC and Salterns he could probaly have walked ashore.
  8. I was always taught not to rely on the hydraulic ram to support the engine, but to use the manual support, and then lower outboard (hydraulically) to reduce strain on hydraulic system - or don't modern outboards have this simple facility?
  9. That is one tight-arse owner. Considering the cost of the boat and fuel to cross the Channel, an additional
  10. Never realised the side effects of botox injections.
  11. Unless it is posted elsewhere on the site, is there any chance someone has the time and opportunity to post the results? Thanks.
