hi dom i managed to get out toaday we got to the ray mark about lunchtime no sign of you ,kinda thought wed miss you,chris gave u a shout on channel 6 but no reply and i forgot to take yer number being the numpty i am pretty poor day to be honest i managed 1 doggie chris got a doggie or 2 and a black bream and that was it at the ray mark ,the tide was pretty strong and had to use a lot of weight to keep the bottom ,so we decided to head over to poole rocks but that was pure cack........ so headed back home with nothing really and another case of bright red noseitis to boot cant wait to peel again chris is out defo out on mon fingers crossed ill be there so if your out or going out give chriss a shout m8 the jammy get got his first conger on fri night and was mistaken for james on a couple of occasions ooooooooooo to have a raider boat and be popular FISH ON!!!!!!!!

the red dot on corkys gps that says xray thats all i know guv i got a little twitch on ma rod then lifted weight gently of the deck to check then it ran of put up a fight got it half way then it decided to run around like a loon then i managed to heave it up soon as the rod twitched that was it i was sqealing like a girl cant wait to get out again

i was useing a normal spinning rod with 15/20lb line cant remember but it certainly bent the rod had to have a break and a smoke after hauling it up but welll worth it

good luck on finding yer rocking horse poo tom did it fight ? you bet it did then it felt like pulling up a bin lid, it must of succombe to my elite pro fishing skills we were at the xray mark last sat and it was perfect calm like a mirror wish i knew then what i do now cant wait till i get back out there but its the same old story wife/weather permitting and of course the first hurdle is the hardest to get over i can handle a small thing like God dealing with weather but the wifey then were talking a different matter ill give you a shout next time were out dommyboy

wooty woot woot how choppy was it out there tonight shoulda guessed really, makeing our way to the ray mark the lack of other boats in the area was the first clue and then the huge waves afterwards was kinda the 2nd clue corkys famous last words its going to die down by 8.pm maybe he meant some where else on the other side of the globe cos he certainly didnt mean out by xchurch way on the way back in we couldnt do any more than 8knots due to some rather large waves saying hello to us wed decided to seek refuge back in the harbour on a bright side though thanks to some great advice from gnasher and dommyboy i finally got my first ray it was a 4lb thornback ,boy was i wooping like a cheerleader in a football changeing room searching for soap also got a few doggies at that mark so for the short time we were there i had a excelant sesh then the green eyed sea sick monster started to play with me but luckily this time i didnt chunder the thought of my ray and cadburys chocolate fingers kept me going but like i mentioned earlier id like to say a big thx dommy boy and gnasher for takeing time and effort to guide me on the right path thx lads Fish on!!

hi m8 thanks for the reply towing shouldnt be a problem but like i said its in the future ill be hopefully doing it but if u could p.m me some details that would be great but like i said dont rush doing it its in the distance

nice fishing m8 my total was a line full of mackies 1 nice black bream and a broken rod and busted knuckle for my troubles not one of my best trips onwards and upwards oh how i dream to pull a fish more than 1lb 5 oz lol

hi m8 thx for the reply i live in poole town centre next to the swimming pool as for size i doubt it would be much bigger than 14ft maybe 16ft at a stretch ,but it wont be any time soon cos i need to sell my other toy first ma motorbike before im allowed any more toys so the wife says as for compound do you mean cobbs quay and such places like that to store??

as the title suggests the post is about storage im thinking of getting a boat in the future but i have no place to store a boat as im a complete noob and dont know any thing how do i: A:find out about moorings and costs B:find out about a dry dock where i can launch a boat from C:a field it can be stored in D: cheapest version of A &B &C thx Daz

im like yerself im getting steadier each trip first trip was worst must of chundered at least 6 times i do have the ocassional trip where i dont spew,my trouble is when i go into the cubby and take my eyes of the horizon

hi dan yep we flung a line down a couple of holes but like u said we done it at the wrong time the tide just dragged our lines more over each other than down the hole my m8 was told of a couple of marks round about there which we fished,thats where we got our 2 pollock and black bream from but alas no biggies or no conga the conga hunt continues................

hi m8 and thx for the reply its not my boat its my m8s boat he has a 16ft raider with a 70tohatsu on the back he keeps it at the rnli in poole and we launch it from there it is on a trailer and can be towed,after reading this forum i did suggest maybe launching from christchurh/mudeford and he is thinking about it maybe just as quick easier steaming on round the coast in the boat?? we went round to kimmeridge and st albans i think,i know we went far:) P.S WEAR suncream lobster boy alert:) it was fun going round pevral ledge and places round there it went really choppy later on in the day but yet again fun we caught all sorts i seem to be the rass king i think they can sense me a hundred miles away also caught a nice couple of pollock and a nice sized black bream,no luck with the conga but i think thats down to us not knowing what were doing lol ill take you up on yer offer of a place to go to catch conga if you wouldnt mind thanks

hi guys after some advice if u can plz?? me and my m8s are going out on the boat at 9.am were hope fully going for conga is there any advice/help u can give as to what bait hook or even a general idea where to go? were leaving from poole quay so a general direction to go would be nice:) also while were trying for conga what else should we go for and what bait/rigs do we need to use?? i apologise now if i sound like a noobie thats because i am but hey we all got to start somewhere:) hopefully ill be able to join the club soon and get you guys worldly wisdom and advice soon any way any help/advice now wopuld be appreciated thanks Daz p.s if this is in the wrong section of the forum i apologise now whole heardidtly

hello and greetings i have just recently got back into fishing and enjoying immensly my m8 has a boat and weve been out a few times and caught a few fish nothing to write home about apart from my 2lb bass dosnt sound like much but a pb for me lol we also had a good day out doggie bashing (all returned) but since then nothing want to catch bigger now want to catch cod/conga /ray/anything big tbh i have read through the forum and there is some good tips and ideas and the knots section is fantastic i hope to join and come along to a meeting soon as i cant wait to get good advice on tackle and places to fish any way thats about it thought id say hi
