  1. Off out so anything positive please text or call me 07781 130304, thanks guys
  2. It is, scheduled to leave Swanage tomorrow at 4.30pm
  3. Just thought, my number in case anything is possible is 07781 130304. Currently in UK :-)
  4. Thanks for this Adam. Just to clarify the times the plan is to leave Swanage at 4.30pm so set up midday or just after, arrival time Alderney is midday Sunday. Thinking more on the suggestion on boats 'being out mid channel fishing', a big part of this is night time when no one else will be out so really do need another support vessel the whole way or I guess part way till dawn Sunday which will put us just past mid channel. From there I maybe able to get a vessel from Alderney to come and meet us so we maintain two safety boats. So frustrating as everything else is in place.
  5. Its gonna happen this time, well done lads and well done Terry. Martin, I'm taking the boat down to Guernsey to catch some Herring of all things with Fie, plus fuel up and have a nose round Sark so won't be in for the call, Monday good though or the very least drop an email with what you want so it goes and pay later. What channel will you be on guys when you are over here? Need to sort ice for some of you, just thinking I'll be carrying ice so when we get back can give you that and the rest is at home in the freezer. Have a safe crossing guys.
  6. Just to add on as I was generalising on Charlies and Ians remarks which are all too common, Rea when he was at the Divers was extremely good towards visiting anglers so hopefully once he settles in to his new surroundings he will nail it, I for one wish him all the success but that doesn't take away what you guys feel as visitors and customers to the island.
  7. Been here 9 years Terry and you see how far we have come and the business contacts we have made, no one seems to follow our lead hence why we have taken an emphasis in the change of direction with our business which is now more internet driven and even more so when new site goes live. It is ridiculous. Alderney can be a Mecca for UK and even NW European sea angling but my little voice goes nowhere. Outsider still eh ;-). The group of people that drive any angling business to the island with any sort of success is the UK charter skippers, even with
  8. Just seen that too Alun, updates eh? We are better of not looking till Thursday ;-). Note your comments on Alderney's ability not to impress visitors Charlie and Ian, it is a shame and visitor retention is very poor due to this hence an empty island for most of May. Anyone want an early breakfast that will fill your belly just book with us. Fie was up at half 4 the other morning, bless her. She does a mean packed lunch to as my waist line proves. Crossed fingers though that you guys can fill the pubs and restaurants next weekend!!
  9. Gutted boys, such a shame. Well done to Terry for the all the hard work too in putting this together. 28th it is then, try again!!
  10. Lets check my diary again, arrived Jan 2004, that's 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 2012.............yes, just double checking Tom. 9 years. Best Tubbi fishing for 9 years ;-). Charlie, that's very kind of you and with the boat currently still not in the water I may well be taking you up on that, thanks very much.
  11. Yep, we're good thanks even though time is lacking, only fished twice this year! Hopefully you'll do a Cherbourg trip and we can catch up then, or better still I get over you're way if this weather breaks! Hope tricks are good for you too.
  12. Fantastic organisational work Terry. Just followed the last few pages and seen all the banter, terrific stuff guys. Some really good fishing here at the moment, it is the best Turbot fishing I have seen in the 9 years (what? 9 years!!) I've been here. Just hope the forecast comes good for you guys, remember its still too early to tell so keep praying. Loved your fish forecast too Adam, brilliant. Now keep doing a 'fair weather' dance all week for the guys for it to come good. Looking forward to it!
  13. A great read guys. watched the video of the return home and there is a bit near the begnning where the sea disappears, nearly made me queasy just watching it. Thansk for all your company, you boys do it so well See you again soon!!
  14. After recent exploits to Alderney some of you might be interested in the following. One space needs to be filled but Paul can cater for three more: Paul Smith, skipper of Poole boat Rapid Fisher, has a spare place for an Alderney trip Friday 15th May returning Monday 18th May. Due to the deposit taken it is reduced to
  15. Awesome Tom, simply awesome, enjoyed looking at those pictures more than reading a report any day. A picture paints a thousand words as they say and those pictures cetainly do. Well done mate.
