Weds - buddy boat?

Planning on taking advantage of a nice little window on Weds and heading out into the channel wrecking for cod etc

 

Anyone fancy tagging along?

Hiya Adam.

I am not back at work untill Thursday and would love to come along with you.But not sure what sort of tackle you use out there

I have a boat rod with a 12lb,20lb and 30lb tip.A multiplier with 18lb line and one set up for tope with about 30 -40lb line.But havent a clue what sort of rigs or lures you use out there.

I will be happy to chip in with fuel and bait.

I have never caught a cod off the boat had some small ones off the beach and one of about 3lb from the kayak.

I'll keep you posted on here. Your gear sounds fine. Whatever you use for smoothounds will be perfect.

I read the title wrong

If you have already arranged to take people out its ok with me,my mistake for not reading the title and just reading the post itself.

I normally use 15lb line,1/0 hooks and 3oz weights for smooth hounds

Sent an email to my boss regarding taking tomorrow off, i will give him 30 mins to respond then assume its clear if he failsdto reply

 

I dont see why i should not be able to make it and come out to play witht he Cod though, its been so long since i have been out in deep water i have forgotten what its like.

Bascially JV is going out and has a space, Tom Smith is taking Illusion out but leaving later me me.

 

Mark (zippy) not sure what you have sorted out? Paul Frey was going to take his boat Imagine out and would have had a crew space, but now might be coming with me??

I am happy to assume that i dont have a secured crew spot unless someone tells me that they would like me to crew this evening, i have gear and squid so all should be straight forward if i am needed to crew.

I was waiting on a reply from yourself as to what we were doing,if you were going out or not.

I have all my tackle ready incase I was going out with you.

I think Paul (Sprinter) wanted to go out with Paul(Sinbad) and crew for him????

I will give it a while to hear back from you.If I dont go tomorrow I will probably end up going out on my Kayak.

Sorry for the confusion Guys, just got in from work so was on radio silence.

I wont be taking my boat tomorow, but would be looking to do the trip on the 18th June (Friday) if this gives a little more time to plan ahead.

OK so I think I understand what I thought you said, but I'm not sure that what I think you said is what you really meant. Some of you are going somewhere tomorrow that might involve fishing, or not?
