Brian Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Might be worth trying http://www.boats.net/parts/search/Suzuki/Outboard/parts.html, they're in the States but I've used them in the past and they've been very reasonable. Quote
Rob Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 When in Ski Marine Bournemouth I saw the guy sold some outboard mounting brackets - they were hydraulic and a few hunderd quid compare the nearly a grand for a full unit from the manufacutrer. Possibly overkill for a 40 but they were very bling and nicely machined. Could be an option if they do a smaller one - this one I saw was BIG! Rob Quote
Coddy Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 (edited) Here is a useful site which gives part numbers and exploded diagrames http://store.brownspoint.com/df40/fig042-04001F.asp I suspect it may have to be a new or re-con unit required. Just a thought as you have the unit stripped, can you get the ram re-chromed? Dave Edited June 11, 2010 by Coddy Quote

Brian Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 The site Coddy linked to, looks very similar to the one I linked to (exploded drawings, even the prices are almost the same). As an example of Boat.net's prices. I've just ordered a Suzuki Voltmeter to match my existing gauges, I was quoted Quote
Rob Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Brian - you need to hope customs don't pick it up or you will pay VAT on top of that! They got me once, I had to pay the VAT at a postoffice before I coudl get my hands on the item. Quote
