Hi Dave,

Looking to head back home on Monday so this trip nearly over now. It hasn't been spectacular in all honesty but then the winds have made things a bit difficult to fish some of the spots I had in mind.

Giving it a miss today with all this rain about but have at least had a chance for a few days R&R.

Overall a few bass (all returned!) plenty of mackerel and a few wrasse. Was hoping to buddy up and get out to some of the wrecks but not much response to that idea.

Next trip is planned for early September when I hope to have a couple of weeks at Portland.

All the best,

Paul

Paul

Trouble has been the short weather windows and ..... from what I have seen on the forum.....a distinct lack of fish activity (certainly on my boat).

Sunday still looks good for a PM foray so still got a chance for a " big 'un " b4 you go.

I will try then.....maybe off Ballard (it is a NNE wind..)

Tight Lines mate.

If you don't go fishing on Sunday but still want to go on your boat a couple of us are planning on rafting up and having a picnic and drinks. You would be more than welcome to join us. We are thinking of going to Arne a very sheltered part of the harbour. Regards timing we will be out from about 11am untill we get fed up or run out of wine tongue.gif

If you decide to come call up either AWOL or SERENITY on Ch6 for our location

Same offer to all club boats and will post elsewhere

Hi Paul we arrived back yesterday from 6 days and 5 nights on the boat in the solent.

The frustrating weather meant that hopes of sneaking in some proper fishing were shelved

We had a few fish but mostly mackeral and bream to grill onboard. We even struggled for mullet and bass in the marina's.

I hope that you have enjoyed your trip to Poole even though the fishing is slower than expected.

Martin,

I doubt that Wendy will be on the boat again tomorrow wink.gif so please have a good day and have a drink for us.

Hoping to get out for a last bash tomorrow, might push out and try a couple of wrecks early on but tides still looking on the big side. At least the wind is supposed to be off the land.

Will keep a listen on Ch6, thanks for the invite Martin smile.gif

Sorry to hear that your trip was also frustrating Charlie, why not slide on down to Portland early September? Planning a fortnight from 4th onwards. Will have crew for week 1 but clear for the following week.

Anybody else interested in getting along just get in touch and we can maybe join forces?

Paul
