What a great fish

 

and no doubt landed on very sporting gear. It fought well.

 

I am sure they are not tame, it just makes me wonder when they know them so well by name and fight charecteristics

and we tend to try differant wrecks so doubt we get the same one very often.

 

I can only say I have definatly caught one eel twice, a small one [25lb] with a badly disformed mouth

caught on an inshore wreck on two trips about a month apart many years ago. at least it proves that catch and release works.

 

 

I would like to see that one again now, they can put on 10lb in a year

it would be heavier than that carp biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

About time you started your own "tag and release" programme Charlie.......Pity they don't have ears you could "nick " like they do with cattle......Eh?

I had mentioned this before and got in touch with a guy at CEFAS who did fish tagging. To ask if we could and how \ where we coudl get tags - got no reply after his first one though!
