Sinbad
Just looked at the weather forecast for mid channel today. This weekend Adam and the other skippers decided to bin the trip to Alderney and Cherbourg as Sundays weather looked 'iffy' Turned out to be a good call safety wise, the channel bouy observation at 0700hrs this morning was 27 knts southerly. It had been 10-12knts at dawn !!! Anyway, we had a great 2 days at Weymouth, wrecking for Cod and Pollack on Friday, and drfting the banks on Saturday in the sunshine for... more Cod and Bass!! Many Thanks for inviting me along on JV, and putting us on the fish, Adam. - I really enjoyed the trip. I'm sure they'll be plenty of pics and reports to come! Adam F
Was a pleasure Paul, thanks for being a helpful crew. I've got a few bits of video I'll work on later - not much else to do in this weather!
great white
As you say Paul I think that between us we made the very best of the weather and I am very pleased to not be out in todays weather beating accross the channel. The change of plan to head West and return with the wind and tide from behind seemed good, as we managed a return leg at normal speeds after a cracking second day on the wrecks. Although the late booking of digs in various locations, made the social side difficult it was still a great trip. I am shattered this morning. We also look forward to seeing the reports and pictures Charlie
Simon
Great stuff guys, certainly was the right call. Gusting 38 knots in the harbour at the moment. I wouldn't like to be out in that! Sound like you all had a good tip, cool. Looking forward to seeing your pics. Simon
