Seal in Christchurch Run

Whilst heading out for the cod comp on sunday morning we saw a Seal in Christchurch run. I would like to know if this is common for this area, I have never seen one before in the wild.

There are also some in Poole Harbour usually see one around round island

There was a seal right up near where your mooring is a few years back. It was basking on the pontoons on the houses that back onto the river.
