niggle Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 Well after far to much shopping with er indoors due to the weather a force 4 was looking a far better option On the way out in was lovely inshore but lumpy out further so me and Mike sat just to the side of a bank and he started to see how many doggies and jumbo pout he could catch I have to admit it wasn't pleasant with the boat swinging around most of the time a good 90 deg But it was good to be out again. Only one proper bite today to Mike(poutndogstome) which resulted in a nice 20lb 6oz cod,I had enough by 1.30 so upped anchor and left Neal and Martin( Branco) on Court Jester to it and plodded back at about 10knts. Really glad we got out and well done to Mike Nige P.s have got a piccy on my phone if somebody could post for him Quote
Martin.C Posted December 5, 2011 Report Posted December 5, 2011 Well what can I say about yesterday, probably the worst conditions I have ever fished in and watching nigel and mike banking up almost vertical at times wondered how they managed to stay standing.. Luckily I was on board court jester and a great skipper Neal kept reassuring me that we wern't Gona die haha... Neal and myself had a couple of good rod bending runs each but just couldn't sink that hook. Well done to mike on his cod producing mark to get a 20lb cod well deserved in those conditions.. Watching nigel and mike head back over those waves gave me the shivers as we had to get back to Poole... It was a little harey at times but court jester ( arvor 250 ) and skipper Neal copped with the conditions perfectly thanks Neal... Quote
