Just had to stick my nose out

Texted Mike Sunday night ,to see if he wanted to see how rough it would be today He was up for it so not expecting much we popped out and inshore not to bad but not nice out further .So dropped the hook a short distance out in 60 ft of water,bites from the start with lots of small pout,dogs,just one whiting to Mike and a couple of poor cod.Nothing hit the big baits and when the unsociable waves made us loose anchor hold we decided it was too rough and headed in,a short stop to try for a flounder but just couldn't drum up any enthusiasm to try hard for them so left them for another day or Mr Jones .Oh well got an early start on the species
