Sea Warrior
Hi all, Was going to head to the car park tomorrow but with winds not perfect and the thought of hauling the anchor in 100 feet of water in the cold i have decided afters an interesting report at the weekend to give dolphin sands ago. Being a large area i was hoping you chaps might be able to give me some pointers as to which location to fish at this time of year for cod, whiting. Thanks kindly Steve
great white
Its been a while since I fished it properly, but I used to go over the top of the sands and into the slightly deeper water Then run east or west until you find a few fluctuations in the depths. Shallow enough here to be good for uptiding. you have PM, let me know how you get on. Charlie

Rob
Hauling the anchor, shouldn't be hard work if you have an Alderney ring and use it correctly! See here: http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=11945 http://www.fishing-boats.info/Anchor.htm rob

Gnasher
Hi steve, what forcast you working from? I was hoping to fish the carpark tomorrow, but now doubting it! I may fish the banks instead if it's gonna be lumpy!
Sea Warrior
Hi Dan, I look at XC weather and met inshore. met inshore giving slight or moderate and with a southerly wind could be exposed. I have a raider 18 which is a capable boat but dont fancy bobbing up and down all day at anchor. Steve
Gnasher
Thats cool steve, I may see you out there. I'm prob launching from mudeford first light. Gonna head over the ledge and see how bumpy it is. If not to bad then we will carry on past the light if not head over the dolphin sands way!
