Got Loremca out of the water and have to Antifoul this is my first time just wondering the best way to do i have check You tube to no avail but thought would check before i stared painting I have jet washed back and majority its gone back to hull on other areas i will have to sand back (not to sure what grade to use) any pointers much appreciated Many thanks Quote

Mike Fox Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 In case you weren't aware, antifoul won't stick to bare fibreglass, and you will need a primer coat first. The other thing to consider is that a bare hull is ideal for osmosis prevention via the painting on of several layers of an epoxy coating. It's not cheap or quick, but if you plan to keep the boat for many years, it might be a long-term investment. Alternatively, some of the members never antifoul as they use dry stack storage.
