I have two large inboard stainless fuel tanks in my project and the fitting at the top of the tank (where the fuel pipe connects to) was completely corroded and knackered.

Does anyone know what it is called and where I might get one? Or would it be easier to get a stainless pipe made up and fit a non return valve in line???

If what you mean is where the fuel filling pipe is connected try looking at the kit car fittings.

You may have to use riv-nuts to fix the new fitting and I also used blue seal sealant on the gaskets to make sure it was fuel tight.

Hope it helps
