Member Removed Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 Hi there, i'm looking at options at the moment for a Pirate 18 and would be interested to hear from any owners or people with experience of them andhow they handle in weather etc,and which engine size is best suited. Look fwd to hearing from anyone. Cheers Seasicksteve68 Quote
Rob Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 Tomo is your man re outboard ones. Wedger is the guy to talk to re diesel! (Take what Tomo says re engine requirements with a pinch of salt as he is a petrol head!! Oh, and Trev too, he is a diesel head. But they both will agree, the more power the better!!!) Cracking boat mind!! Rob Quote
Member Removed Posted April 25, 2013 Author Report Posted April 25, 2013 Thanks Rob, I'm new to this forum.i look forward to speaking to them and any other guys with experience of the boats. Thanks Quote
Adam F Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 Nope - they are Pirate 21's Rob. As far as I know, we dont have any Pirate 18's in the club. Have a pop over to WSF (World Sea Fishing.com) and ask in the boat section, I'm sure you'll find the info you want on there. Adam Quote

borntofish Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 There is a 2015 pirate 18 cuddy on the next pontoon to where I am berthed in Haslar mariner Gosport. from a distance it looks a nice boat, up close its a little bow heavy and the workmanship is poor, I would give it a miss, there are much better finishing cuddy boats on the market.
