Adam F
Avets. No questions. They cost a bit more than an Abu but are epic reels. My rack now has 4 Kenzakis and matching Avets. A really nice combo. Buy in the Uk from Rok Max. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
great white
All depends on your budget Chris We love the Kensaki range of rods, and started using the 12-20 one when pollack fishing with an Abu 7000. Like Adam I now use Avets instead of the Abu's, Mainly due to the smooth lever drag and the faster retrieve.
johnnyb.
Had a look at Avets, they really do seem to be a top quality reel and, as with everything a price to match.Which model is best for light inshore and maybe a bit of uptiding.they seem to range from £150 to about £450.? great white
If you are uptiding you may want to look at the one with casting brakes
Stuie
Adam, do you use the narrow spool versions?

I replaced my Abu's with them 2 years ago, never looked back.
