Stuie
A late morning start and it was off to Ballard to see Tony Way inTwo Ways and 2 friends already there and reporting the odd bream, pollock and a few mackerel. I anchored nearby and immediately found mackerel. A ballan and a 2lb bream followed, but - apart from mackerel -sport was slow in the non-existent tide. (bad planning) Tony planned to move to the patch and was happy for me to tag along. Again the lack of tide didn't help although a doggy and a dab responded to the bream rigs. Back at Cobbs for 5. Both the main engine and the auxilary didn't miss a beat after their annual service. It's always reassuring to have company.
Adam F
I had a carbon copy of your day. I only had a few hours as I had to get back to work, but I was out on ballard by 10am, alongside 2 ways - the tide was already falling away and apart from plenty of fat mackeral, it was dead. A move to the patch produced only pout and judging by the lack of action of the boats around me, it was quiet everywhere. Dissapointing.
