Coddy
Hi all I found this web site where a young couple from Poole circumnavigated the UK in their 20ft Hardy Pilot. Their diary, whilst long, is very interesting and some great pictures as well. http://www.sharad-family.com/littleboatbig...atBigIsland.htm They are raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and you can donate online if you wish. Would you go for an adventure like this? with the wife/partner for so long in a 20ft boat? A super read I think Coddy
Swainiac
Dave............I'd be tempted to pass on the "wifes" company........I think the seat would be better filled with more bait, lures and rods!!!!! Rich
Adam F
Wow!! Ill give that a read later on tonight - sounds amazing. Who would have thought it was possible in a 'small' 20 foot boat?? AF

shytalk
another good read for the coneseur is "the hungry ocean" by linda greenlaw(skipper of the hannah boden, sister ship to the andrea gail) telling the story of life on a swordfish longliner. highly recomended
Adam F
May well get hold of that Peter - For those who dont know the Andrea Gail was the boat in the book The Perfect Storm, a true life story. The film is taky and a little far fetched, but the book is excellent - if The Hungry Ocean is anything similar it is well worth it.
