red
Can anyone recommend some sea fishing waterproofs, I purchased a good set of AnyfishAnywhere jacket and trousers about 6 years ago but they are falling to bits, pockets unstitched, lining full of holes, and have long since retained their waterproofness. I prefer the smock type jacket and it needs a good hood. It is also useful having some leg pockets on the trousers for tackle, spare leads etc. I did not want to go to the expense of goretex because it would get covered in boat fishing crud. It would also have to remain waterproof after being in the washing machine and light and comfortable for summer but warm in winter. If anyone could offer any advice that would be good. niggle
I use Musto salopettes BR1 and/or Guy Cotton ones. Smocks I use the Mustard ones in warmer months and a ESP one in winter Nigel
gaffa
Haven't actually tried these but they look reasonable for the price. I must admit I have had some great bargains off Askari over the years their site is well worth a look http://www.askari-fishing.co.uk/__WebShop__/product/fishing/offers/after-season-sales/clothing-bestsellers/men-s-clothing/behr-icebehr-two-piece-all-weather-suit/detail.jsf There are lots of discounted items available there at the moment minimum order £30 I think Peteg
Adam F
Like most things in life you get what you pay for. I've tried lots of kit over the years and for the past 8 or so years have found Musto be be excellent. True it's expensive.. But spread the cost over the time you've been through a handful of cheaper kit and it's not too bad. I use a BR1 jacket and MPX trousers. As for getting it messy... Just wash it! It truly is awesome kit.
Mike Fox
Another vote for Musto here. Have used it since late 80s, and it's last well. While I've upgraded to better Musto jackets, and now have breathable stuff, overall it's always been good. Mike
codpiece
I have used a Sundridge En-tec 2 full suit for some years with no complaints, it has the advantage of having a thermal flotation aplication as i am sure most of the others have but in NO WAY does this negate the need for a life jacket. derek.
