lofty
Fancied doing something a bit different today. I bought a couple of dozen lures for a song of fleabag a while ago, so today I thought I'd have a go along the training bank. Took a fivers worth of rag just in case Launched at sandbanks and within five minutes a schoolie . It went for the gold and black rebel minnow. Paddled up and down the training bank using various lures but nothing on them. Anchored up but the weed was horrible. Pulled out a few wrasse on hewys favourite circle hooks, including one nice big one Decided to try the pipe at shore road. On the paddle across hook sands the gold rebel took the second schoolie. A bit snotty so no photo A few more wrasse and a paddle back against w&t Third schoolie Who'd have thought lures work? Landed back at sandbanks and had a chat with a beach lifeguard. She had a bin bag full of jellyfish. She'd had 36 washed up on the swimming beach today. They were feeding all along the training bank. So no big bass. Lots of wrasse and 3-0 to goldie over the others Maverick Martin, Kingfisher 126, rich185 and 9 others
Kingfisher 126
Went out with Nigel for a few hours this afternoon and saw you anchored up, saw the weed coming by so didn't bother dropping a line in. Noticed a boat fly by you rather close, must be a weird feeling waiting to see how close they are going to get, must be a struggle when there is the rest of the sea they can use!!!! We had a drift along the chines and the jelly fish were everywhere, we counted over ten in a couple of minutes but it was like it all the time, there must be something they like here at the moment. Well done on getting the result with the lures, bet they will be out whenever you paddle.
Hooky
Could this be the beginning of another (lure) addict ??? I'm been bleeting on for months about how affective they are , just see what you can do with a feed shallow along that area at low water !
