Peter
Check out the air inlet on the tank 1 is it undone as it should be in operation 2 is the hole blocked or partially blocked creating a vacuum in the tank when revs are up Peter
mw
Make sure you have the arrow on the fuel bulb going to the engine from the tank I had that on my rib mark
Football Fisher
Thanks for all input have checked all the above,I know it sounds and points to fuel problems but I'm maybe looking at electrical problem, not being electrically minded but is there components that could break down under load rather than tick over,I'm going to change plugs, and some connectors. mw
may be coils mw
Coddy
I would suggest a compression test before anything else Could save you £££'s in swapping bits Dave Rob
rich185
Could well be the stator under the flywheel, this creates charge from the flywheel to the coils within the stator. It could be the coils within the stator that are breaking down under load and when they get hot, sometimes when this happens whilst going along it literally feels like someone is just turning the key off. Wouldn't think it would be a ignition coil as if it was one of them the engine would still run, just not on all cylinders and would run rough instead of dying completely. Rich. Bramble banker
Overheating possible? My Yam was doing this very thing and I ran a cleaner through the waterways and replaced the thermostat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
