joefish Posted August 16, 2015 Report Posted August 16, 2015 Hi guys, Due to my recent retirement, I have had to give up my mooring at Christchurch Quay. The annual fee is £1100. I would be grateful for any information on a more affordable mooring in Poole Harbour. Many thanks, Joe Quote
Jamie W Posted August 16, 2015 Report Posted August 16, 2015 Hi Joe. Cheapest is a swinging mooring. Either through someone. Or even better through the PHC (prob a long list though).I pay £200 a year. Thats including harbour dues. Quote
joefish Posted August 19, 2015 Author Report Posted August 19, 2015 Thanks Jamie, Is it far to row from the tender park to the moorings? and is the car park nearby? Kind regards, Joe Quote
Jamie W Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 Depends where you get it laid, they will guide you.. but around little shore or lake pear would suit you. Parking and beach tender. My dinghy is on a shallow mooring, and i just row out to my boat. Takes 2 minutes. Quote
Ianh87 Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 Might be worth having a look at North Haven YC as well, if Jamie's answer has a long waiting list, swinging moorings plus a clubhouse and water taxi as well. Have a look at their website: http://www.nhyc.org.uk/ Quote
