Kingfisher 126 Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 Dogfish Dave and myself decided to work our way around and give several spots a go today. Started with a couple of drifts in the harbour for a herring or two for bait, only small bass caught. Out to the first mark and with the small tide running 4/6 oz holding bottom. Small eyed rays from the off but only small, started getting bigger so started to weigh them just over 4lb. Lots of doggies too!! Moved out into a bit more tide, bigger small eyed up to 5 1/2 lb and a blonde to Dave of 9-2oz. More doggies!! A move to Ballard for something different hopefully, more smalleyes the biggest going 7lb to me and of course a steady run of doggies!!! A lone mackie so kept for the banker ray mark. Moved the final time amonst the PBSBAC fleet and got the fresh bait down, doggie after doggie and a tub gurnard not a ray caught. If anyone needs doggies on the species list ask Dave out, never seen so many!!! Chris 7lb Small eyed Dave 9lb 2oz Blonde niggle, rich185, Greg and 7 others 10 Quote
