Coddy
The only slip I know of in weymouth is located in the upper/inner harbour above the bridge. Opposite the multi storey car park. Ok slip with parking for the trailer but not the car. Been told that the size you can launch is limited, but I've launched my 21 footer there before. Thats the one that would be used for this event, unless others know better and I've got it totally wrong! Hi Adam Count me and Sammy in subject to work travel etc. There are some other slips in and around Weymouth. Town slip does get busy in the summer/week-ends so you have to be a bit smart in launch and recovery unless you want to hear lots of mumbles! Try checking out "Boat Launch" web site, there is a link on the clubs web page. Coddy

domino
Alan I to was hopeing to get out to the shambles on sunday the 19th,I have the sunday and monday of work and was going to give it a bash (weather permiting!) Ill see you there James James, That would be great if we could meet up. I don't think I'd be able to make the monday... I think I have something else on... oh yes, work!! It's then down to the weather Gods to decide if I go Sat or Sun. It is such a small tide that weekend, we might need a bit of breeze to actually drift anywhere! Cheers, Alan
sean
There are 3 other slips in the Weymouth area:- 1. Ferry bridge (on the way to Portland where you cross the Fleet) 2. Castletown (on Portland behind the SAR helicopter base 3. Bowleze cove ( the East end of Weymouth bay) Not sure about charges or if you have to pay a Portland port day licence for No 1 &
Coddy
There is also a new slip in Portland where the new sailing school is, again I am not sure on charges or if you have to pay Portland harbour dues. It is just behind the old oil tanks off the new roundabout on Portland causeway. Coddy

Small slip... really only suitable for dinghies and jet-skis
duncan
Jack, Unfortunately I won't have Phaeton back in the water for that trip otherwise I would have run across with you. Maybe next year!
Maverick Martin
Jack Frank who owns Sheila Marie will probably go if his boat is on the water. Unfortunately he doesnt come on here but usually attends the meetings. I'll introduce you if you like. Martin
